Maple Tree and Autumn Wind

Maple tree falls asleep

Wind sneaks by, sees leaves

Whispers to leaves

Turns ’em red and crinkly

Just one word,

Hardly heard

No more leaves

Maple tree opens eyes

Freezing cold branches

Stark and bare

No leaves on ground,

No leaves in air

Mischevious wind flies by,

Chases leaves into sky

Leaves try to scream,

Cannot be heard

Makes a pile on the earth

Grab a rake,

Finish job

Almost done

Autumn wind has had his fun.
