Leprechaun

Little green hat bobs up and down,

Marching towards the town.

Walking down the dusty dirt road,

He passes by a merchant’s load.

There’s no one near,

The merchant’s not here…

Set the horse free,

Stuff the goods in a tall tree.

Whistling away,

Let’s pretend that no one was here today.

Passing by the farmer’s gate,

Look at the time, it’s not too late.

Flip the latch,

Let the cows run past.

Whistling away,

Let’s pretend that no one was here today.

Gather the eggs from the hen,

Stuff them in the pig pen.

Whistling away,

Let’s pretend no one was here today.

Human walks by,

Leprechaun hides.

Scampers away,

No one will take his gold away!
