Sand soaks, seeps between
Summer-sunned toes as I walk
Up the sunlit beach
ψ
Seagull paradise
Dashing after food, swifter
Than my surprised hand
ψ
The moon and the waves
Crescents above and below
Nature intertwined.
Sand soaks, seeps between
Summer-sunned toes as I walk
Up the sunlit beach

Seagull paradise
Dashing after food, swifter

The moon and the waves
Crescents above and below
Nature intertwined.
Alone in my ship
A sailor in an unknown sea
Closest to the stars, yet farthest from the world
Quiet in my bearing, still as the sand of the moon
Loud in my thoughts, crowding together in my head
Cold, dark, celestial, swirling
Just me and the moon and the stars
The moon is hidden up in its little nest
Half-noticed in the blue sky
The sun goes down behind the hills for nighttime,
But the moon stays put to watch the day pass by
It is a white shadow,
A visible secret,
A curious little sibling
Soft and pale it sits in its perch and smiles
How often it is overlooked, though it is closest to us
But a feather from the mighty wing
Thick winter night, velvety and soft
Sparkling snow is icing on the rooftops
Glittering like a thousand stars
Shining in the moons white eye
Rounded triangle wings lie in the snow
Left there from the dawn
To fly again at sunrise
Snow angels resting as they glimmer with the moon
Arms outstretched, bright and hopeful as their makers.
Blue for sadness, that Summer has left
and her whispers reach out to us, to tell us that she has gone,
gone to an unreachable place
Blue for Icy Wind that will move in and bite and snap at your heels
Blue for a silent happiness that Autumn has arrived,
that we are no longer in Summer’s trance
Blue moon as Mother Nature’s gift for this season shift
